Midco® Aquatic Center Pools to Close Periodically for Annual Maintenance
Beginning Monday, July 31, 2017, the pools at the Midco® Aquatic Center will close on a staggered schedule in order to conduct routine annual pool maintenance. The entire facility will be closed August 7–13 to accommodate the maintenance schedule.
“Due to the year-round operation of the Midco Aquatic Center, it is important to be able to schedule annual maintenance to keep the facility in top condition,” says Don Kearney, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We would like to thank the public for their patience and also invite them to visit one of our outdoor facilities during this annual maintenance period.”
The routine annual maintenance will require the pools to be drained to complete an inspection, some additional deep cleaning, and other items not possible when people are using the facility.
The planned closure schedule is as follows but is subject to change depending on time needed for maintenance:
| July 31–August 6 | Recreation Pool, Warm Water Pool, and Spray Pad Closed
50 Meter Pool Open |
| August 7–13 | Entire Midco Aquatic Center Closed |
| August 14–20 | 50 Meter Pool Closed
